Napoli to resume training on Monday

Napoli could start training on Monday after Vincenzo De Luca, chief of Campania, confirmed he was ‘in favour’ of arrangements for the club.

Campania is one of the regions least hit by a coronavirus, accounting for just 354 of Italy’s deaths, and De Luca is happy for its biggest club to get back to work imminently.

“I talked to the Napoli President about the resumption of team training,” he explained during a press conference this afternoon.

“His proposal seems absolutely reasonable to me and I’m in favour, under these conditions.”

Napoli’s plan requires three training pitches, which guarantees to space between teams, individual showers and two assessments every week for each participating employee.

Parma have also been given permission to resume training on May 4, but they have already announced they will wait until there is a joint agreement between clubs and authorities.
